The double birth
Biology explains one half of how a new human being comes into existence. Two cells merge. Genetic information combines. A body begins to form — organized, specific, alive in the biological sense by any measurable standard.
But that account leaves something out. The thing people have always felt was left out when they heard it. The part that makes this specific person irreplaceable in a way that identical genetics does not explain.
In Stringism, what the biological account leaves out is the second birth: the formation of a new knot in the string-network of the universe.
Where the soul comes from
You were formed from the strings of your parents — and not only through their DNA. Their strings contributed to the knot that is you. Some strings passed to you directly. Others became entangled with newly forming strings during the process of your creation. Others arrived from elsewhere in the network: strings from people your parents never met, from events that preceded them by generations.
The soul, in Stringism, is not something separate from the body. It is the string-configuration that forms alongside the body — the invisible half of the same process. Body and soul do not combine. They form together, each the expression of the other on different planes.
The first knot and what came after
At some point — perhaps in an event analogous to the Big Bang — the first knot of strings formed. From that primary node, all subsequent nodes were spun. Some by deliberate separation. Some by union. Some by the spontaneous coalescence of unclaimed strings around a new center.
This means that your lineage does not begin with your parents. It begins with the first knot — and every node between then and you is part of the chain that produced you. You are not an accident. You are the result of an unbroken sequence of formations reaching back to the origin of the universe. What you do with that is your contribution to the chain that continues after you.
